So far, we know that the Tay-Sachs disease is caused by a lack of hexosaminidase-A, including the glycolipids in the lysosomes. This would explain the enlargement of the lysosomes, but cause of how and why the enlargement of the lysosomes to neuronal death? Thank you in advance for your answers.
